Laramie River Litigation - Nebraska v. Wyoming, 353 U.S. 953
(1957)
The U.S. Supreme Court decision in this case allocated to
Colorado users the right to divert from the Laramie River and its
tributaries 49,375 acre-feet of water in each calendar year.
Only 29,500 acre-feet of such water could be used within the
drainage basins of the Laramie River and 19,875 acre-feet could
be diverted outside the Laramie River Basin.
Wyoming water users have the right to use all water remaining in
the Laramie River and its tributaries after Colorado's
diversions.
